Chase Wins Major Guild Award
Major Award for Chase Distillery in Guild’s Taste Awards!
In
addition to Chase scooping four Gold awards for its' potato vodka and
liqueurs in the Guild of Fine Foods Great Taste awards, it has now been
award a Major Award by the Guild.
Products, like Chase
Elderflower liqueur, that attained the 3 star gold award went through
to a final "best of the best" round of major awards on 7th September in
a high profile award ceremony at Fortnum & Masons and hosted by
Radio 2 correspondent Nigel Barden.
Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans, top
chef Anthony Worrall Thompson and food critic Charles Campion were
amongst the judges who gave Chase's liqueur high marks.
Out of
5,000 products entered only 82 products gained the Gold 3 star award
and only 15 out of those were awarded Major awards and one supreme
award, which makes the win even more rewarding for William Chase's
'boutique' distillery which produces all of its vodka and liqueurs from
its' farm in Herefordshire.
William Chase said: "It's great to
have Chase liqueurs endorsed as it's not only my opinion how good they
are. It helps us to explain how good our liqueurs are as it's not only
the fruit but our naturally sweet smooth potato vodka that makes it."

This
is not the first time Chase has won top awards in the pas few months:
Their English potato vodka scooped a prestigious international accolade
in May from the International Spirits Challenge which is renowned in
the industry for being one of the hardest competitions in the world.
Lucas
Hollweg, Food writer for the Times, was full of praise for the
luxurious liqueur saying it is "There's a french thing out there and
this is much much boozier which is a good thing and the french one is a
bit of weakling in comparison. It has got a heafty blast of
elderflowers in your mouth and your nose. Have some over ice, pour it
over vanilla ice cream or splash it in some poached gooseberries. It's
great!"
